Firebirds Visit Artist Alison Sigethy at the Torpedo Factory
On March 9th, a group of Firebirds were able to visit Alison Sigethy's studio in Alexandria Virginia. Sigethy shared her work and explained her creative process in her studio. She has dynamic pieces that combine different textures and finishes. She also did a demo of "glass dough." After visiting her studio, she joined us all for lunch. It was an inspiring afternoon.

In 2023, the Virginia Firebirds will do a monthly theme. Members are invited to participate. Make beads that fit the theme and share them on our Facebook Page.

It's time again to nominate and elect a new board for the Virginia Firebirds. Officers are able to serve in their roles for two years. We invite you to get involved participate in the election. This is your club and if we work together, it will continue to be a wonderful club. Our group needs you! More detailed information is being emailed out on the mailing list. If you have not received information via email, please contact vafirebirds@gmail.com.
Officer Roles
President. The President shall have and exercise general charge and supervision of the affairs of the Virginia Firebirds and shall sign letters or documents necessary to carry out the will of the Chapter.
Vice-President. At the request of the President, or in the event of the absence or disability of the President, the Vice-President shall perform the duties and possess and exercise the powers of the President.
Treasurer. The Treasurer shall oversee the custody of all Virginia Firebirds funds and securities, shall oversee the books belonging to the Chapter, and shall obtain and keep full and accurate accounts of all receipts and disbursements. At the end of his or her term as Treasurer, he or she shall restore to the Corporation all books, papers, vouchers, money, and property of whatever kind in the Treasurer's possession or under the Treasurer's control belonging to the Chapter.
Secretary. The Secretary shall oversee the preparation and the preservation of the records of the Chapter, the minutes of the proceedings of all meetings, all governing policies and official documents, and shall cause any such documents to be made available to the Membership. The Secretary shall make minutes of any meeting of the Chapter available to Members and soon as practicable.
